1.  I'm considering a boudoir session, but I'm not sure about it.  What will it be like?

I get asked this question a lot, and I totally get it!  I've been in the same position when considering a boudoir shoot for myself~ and I know what it's like to be on the other side of the camera for these intimate photos.  What I can tell you is that I've never had a client regret the decision to do boudoir photography with me.  Overwhelmingly my clients rave about how much fun they had during their shoot and leave with a renewed sense of invigoration and self confidence.  My goal with every Montana boudoir photo shoot is to create a comfortable and safe space -- absent any judgement -- where you can feel comfortable to express yourself freely.  All that said, clients may still be nervous at the beginning of a session... but no worries~ I will bring champagne and snacks and in no time flat you'll be having a ball.

2.  I'm worried I might be awkward in front of the camera and won't know what to do.  Will you tell me what to do?

You never have to worry about this!  I've had professional photography training and I know how to create flattering poses.  In fact, I have a huge library of boudoir poses in my head!  I also understand lighting and will be able to put you in the most flattering light, whether that is the natural light that is available or the light created by a flash and soft box.  Some clients feel more comfortable in front of the camera than others... and that's great!  But if you are naturally more shy and reserved, don't let that hold you back from booking a boudoir photo shoot.  I will guide you through the entire session and ensure we get beautiful and flattering images that you will be proud of.

3.  What should I wear to my boudoir photo shoot?

That's easy!  Anything that you feel comfortable wearing!  Maybe you'll go shopping for some new lingerie, or find something you've already got at home.  If you like satin or lace, wear satin or lace!  If you like leather, wear leather!  If you'd rather cover up a little more, try a pretty robe or a button up shirt or sweater that we can pull off the shoulder.  If you're really brave and comfortable in the buff, we can also create some beautiful, tasteful fine art nude photos.  Feel free to bring jewelry, accessories, high heels, stockings... or whatever other props or wardrobe pieces you have.  We'll have plenty of time to try different outfits and looks, so bring along everything you've got!

4.  Will I get hair and makeup done professionally before my boudoir photo shoot?

Yes!!  Professional makeup by Skin Chic (located in downtown Missoula) is included with all of my boudoir packages, including false lashes (I had these put on for the first time prior to my own boudoir photo shoot and have to admit~ it was really fun!).  The makeup artists at Skin Chic are absolutely amazing and will help create a look just for you~ whether you prefer dark and dramatic or soft and natural, or anything else in between.  At this time I am not offering professional hair styling, but hope to include this in the future.

5.  How soon will I get my boudoir photos after the shoot?

You will receive your online digital gallery of boudoir images within 3 weeks of the boudoir photography session (or 4 weeks for boudoir parties).

6.  Will my boudoir photos be kept private?

Absolutely.  Your digital boudoir images will be delivered to you through a private, password protected online gallery that only you can access~ but you may share your gallery with others if you choose.  If you prefer not to have your boudoir photos delivered to you through the internet, you may purchase a USB thumb drive containing your photos.  I would never share or post your boudoir photos online unless you gave me written permission in advance, which is part of the standard boudoir contract that all clients sign before their photo shoot.

7.  Is it ok if I bring a friend along?

Yes!  Feel free to bring along a close female friend who you feel very comfortable with to provide extra encouragement and support during your shoot.  You might want to consider recruiting a girlfriend or two to do the shoot with you as my boudoir parties offer additional savings for parties of two or more.  No men or kids allowed though.

8.  Do you travel throughout Montana for boudoir photography?

Yes!  I am based in Missoula, MT but I travel throughout Western Montana to provide boudoir photo sessions.  Please be aware there is an additional travel fee if I come to you, depending on where you are located and/or where you would like to do your boudoir shoot.  I serve Missoula and surrounding areas of Western Montana, including the Bitterroot Valley, Mission Valley, Flathead Lake area, and Silver Bow county.  I have even traveled as far as Salmon, ID for shoots.

9.  Will my boudoir photos be retouched?

All of your boudoir photos will be color corrected and edited using professional photo editing software.  I will remove any temporary blemishes, such as bruises and pimples.  I also include basic retouching, which includes skin softening, wrinkle reduction, teeth whitening, and eye brightening.  If you have a tattoo you'd like to hide, sometimes those can be 'removed' in editing as well.

10.  When is payment for my boudoir session due?  And do you take credit cards?

A 50% non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking your Montana boudoir session in order to reserve your date on my calendar.  The remainder of the balance is due 5 days prior to your boudoir shoot date.  I accept debit and credit cards, as well as cash and personal checks.
